Pixie Lott X KISS Cosmetics Party*
I've been up to some really exciting stuff lately...
I'm sorry to brag - but I think I went to one of the coolest PR events ever last week. If you've been reading my blog for a while now you probably know about my relationship with KISS cosmetics and how every so often I do a little review or giveaway. Well, because of this I got to attend their Pixie Lott X Kiss Cosmetics PR party.
The party was hosted at the gorgeous Haymarket Hotel in a beautiful room with a fully equipped bar and stunning pool. Unfortunately it was not a pool party but the pool was decorated with pretty flowers and dreamy candles - as you can see below. Although stunning, I did fear that I may fall in the water after a glass of wine or two!
One of the first things I did when I got there was get my lashes done (obviously!) I got to pick from the entire KISS cosmetics range however I decided that I'd go with some of their latest lashes. They have so many different types of lashes it's unreal. From natural everyday wispy lashes to full on glamour ones.
I decided that I'd go with one of their latest set of lashes from their couture range - little black dress. I thought they were glamorous enough for the glitzy event I was at but small enough to not make me look like a drag queen. Not that there's anything wrong with drag queens it's just that I can definitley not pull off that kind of look.
My lashes were applied by one of the very lovely KISS cosmetologists and I must say that I could definitely not have done a better job myself. I love false lashes but since hanging up my performance days for good I can't quite seem to get them right anymore. But as they say practice makes perfect!
I loved the final look of the lashes especially when paired with my smokey eyeshadow. As you can see from the image above there is a massive difference between my natural lashes with my a coat of my favourite mascara and the KISS couture little black dress lashes.
As well as there being a tonne of KISS cosmetics products there were also a load of IMpress nails there too. I've tried IMpress nails before and I absolutly love them. They stay on for a considerable amount of time for DIY nails and did I mention that they come in so many cute designs - there's a perfect set for every occasion.
After all the pampering and beauty browsing was done we all got to see a magnificent private performance from Pixie Lott herself - keep an eye out on my YouTube channel for this as well as a whole vlog about the day. I'd also like to finish this post off by thanking the entire KISS cosmetics team for inviting me and for being ever so generous with their event and goodie bag (which I'm sure I'll be posting up soon!).
