March Recap

Spring is finally here and I have to say that I feel rejuvenated. It seems that my body and mind work with the seasons. In Autumn I wind down, in Winter I almost hibernate and now that Spring has rolled around I feel full of life again. As I get older I am starting to understand how important it is to listen to my body. If I feel like I need to sleep - I sleep, if I feel like I want to eat - I eat. However the further I delve into Spring, the more motivated I am to get things done.

Although I want to set my tone for the upcoming month and tick a lot of things off my to-do list, I still want to make sure that I take it easy on myself and don’t put too much pressure on myself to do everything. Sometimes I find that when I get strikes of motivation, I push myself too hard and too fast, resulting in burnout. Whether this is professionally at work, creatively on my blog or personally at my home. I feel good in the run up to it because I am on a roll but then I get angry with myself when I can’t keep it up. This isn’t a healthy or productive mindset.

Instead, I plan to take each day as it comes, slow down and of course find the beauty in everyday life.
