L'Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask Review
I've been wanting to get my hands on this clay mask for ages!
And I finally did. Unless you've been hiding under a rock from the beauty world lately than you have probably seen the massive campaign L'Oreal have unleashed for their clay mask range. You've probably also seen the Boots promotion where you can get each clay mask for just £5 each. As far as I can see this is a pretty good deal because each mask comes in a 50ml pot, which is pretty big when it comes to products like this. I got two masks, but in this post I am going to focus on the Pure Clay Detox Mask.
I want to try all of the clay masks but I decided to start with the detox mask. The detox mask is black and promises to purify and clear you skin in just one use. The packaging also states that if you continue to use the detox mask on a regular basis it can make you skin feel more fresh, appear more luminous, allow your skin to breathe better and eventually completely transform your skin. That's a pretty huge statement!
The product itself is very thick and you only need about three small scoops worth of product to cover your whole face. The mask is pretty easy to put on too, a very smooth and quick application, just what you want when you need a quick evening pamper. Once applied the mask dries very quickly, well within it's recommended 10 minuet waiting time. The only downside to this mask is that while it's own it can feel very tight and slightly uncomfortable.
When my waiting time was up I had to wash it off. I did find this process rather difficult even with warm water. When you get the mask wet it can become quick sticky and make quite a mess of your sink when washing it off. But I must admit once removed, my skin felt alot firmer and bouncier which I felt odd, especially as I do not have mature skin. My skin also felt silky smooth afterwards which is always a plus.
