Nu Skin Blogger's Event*

Hello there!

Last week I was lucky enough to attend the Nu Skin press day in London to view all of their latest skincare and make-up products. Nu Skin is an American brand which was founded in 1984 on the premise of anti-ageing. However now, they have branched out in make-up, bath and body lotions, aromatic products and even dietary supplements.

Below you can see a brief overview of all of the products I tried and tested on the day.

Although I am not too concerned with anti-ageing products as I am still only 22, I was intrigued to learn more about skincare. Whilst speaking with one of the lovely Nu Skin team at the event I was told that collagen in your skin (which keeps your skin looking young) doesn't start to decrease until you are 25. So, theoretically you don't need to start using anti-ageing products until you are 25. However, it is still important to have a skincare regime to keep your skin hydrated, clear and clean.

One of my favourite things about the range available from Nu Skin was the collection entitled EpochEpoch is a range all made from plants from various indigenous cultures. But my favourite thing about Epoch is that for every product sold Nu Skin donates a certain proportion of the sales profit to various humanitarian efforts worldwide. This may not be the most important thing to some, but to me it really matters.

From this range I tried out both he body butter and mud mask. They both feel heavenly on the skin and have a very subtle scent. I am not one for over-powering musks so these were definitely right up my street.

These essential oils above are also a part of the Epoch range. I really like essential oils as they have a million different uses. For instance you could use them in a diffuser to make a room smell gorgeous or you could use them on your skin or in you hair for hydration purposes. The scents I sampled were lavender, peppermint, lemon and harmony (which smelt like cinnamon). Obviously cinnamon was my favourite because I have such a sweet tooth!

Nu skin also have their own make-up range called Nu Colour. Obviously as a self-proclaimed make-up junkie I was extra excited to have a look and try all of the products out. So far the Nu Colour range includes foundations both powder and liquid, lipsticks, lip glosses, bronzers, eyeshadows, eyeliners and mascaras. Yep! The whole lot.

Although I didn't try out the mascara one of the ladies from the Nu Skin team had it one and it looked amazing, just like she was wearing false lashes! Apparently their mascara is one of the most popular and best selling products in the UK along with their lip contouring lip gloss. Needless to say, I know what's going to be on wishlist for the summer.

One of the last things I want to talk about in the range is this handy dandy contraption! It is called the Age Loc Me Skincare System. How it works is you go online to take the skincare test on the Nu Skin website. Once that is done, the system calculates what products you will need and which ones are suitable for your skin. Then from there you can purchase the Age Loc Me Skincare System along with your custom combination of products to fill your the device with.  Then, this is when the magic happens. You can programme the device to mix your products together depending on your skin situation. For example if you were going away for the weekend to a hot place, the Age Loc Me Skincare System will calculate exactly how much you will need. Simply put a pot in the hole and the Age Loc Me Skincare System will dispense enough day cream, night cream and moisturiser for your whole trip!
