There are a lot of factors that come into play when we consider what makes you skin clearer. Sometimes a big one can be your genetic makeup, which, even with all the best products and life choices in the world, we cannot prevent. However there are still many factors we can influence like what products we use on our skin and making the right lifestyle choices. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’re probably familiar with the fact that I only use cruelty-free skincare products on my skin but even then, I’ve been on quite the journey to narrow down my skincare products. So, with my minimal skincare routine, I rely on quite a few other things that help keep my skin as clear as possible.
Read MoreNo skincare routine for three months? Are you mad? A year ago, I too would have said the same thing. How can I go on without layering my serums, acids, toners, moisturises, cleansers, masks and exfoliators? Wouldn’t I be risking too much, especially now that I am on the wrong side of 25? How would my skin possible survive? Well, I am actually relived to say that I have completed three months without my skincare routine and my skin is relatively unscathed.
Read MoreSkincare has always been an important part of my daily rituals and routines. Over the years I have found what my skin likes and what it doesn’t like. I’ve learnt that my skin can be senstive and dry whilst still having the occassional breakout and oily t-zone. I occasionally suffer from some rednesss from time to time too, particularly around my nose and cheeks. However, as soon as I think I’ve mastered a routine that has my skin looking it’s best, my skin adapts and doesn’t like it anymore. So, especially now that I’m closer to 30 than 21 I’ve taken it upon myself to try out new routines every so often so my skin doesn’t have time to get too used to products.
Read MoreI have always been a big follower of skincare trends and have tried my hardest to keep a consistent skincare routine throughout my late teens and early adult life. It’s never been perfect and my skin always finds a way to start hating the products it once loved. Although this hasn’t been so great for my bank account, it does mean that I have over ten years of experience in trying different skincare brands so you don't have to.
Read MoreIf you saw my last post about how I am going to lead a more consciously cruelty-free life, then you’ll probably know why I am writing this. Skincare is a big part of my daily routine therefore if I want to be cruelty-free then this is something I knew I’d have to change. Whilst I already use some cruelty-free skincare brands like Liz Earle, I wanted to seek out a more “high street” branded alternative to try.
Read MoreSkincare can be tricky. It's almost like a journey and a process of trial and error. A few years ago one product may have done wonders but now it doesn't even begin to make a difference. Similarly you may want to try out a new product and find that it gives you a bad reaction but on your friend who has similar skin to you it seems to work just fine. I know the drama.

In fact the last one I went to was the Juvadent beauty event in January so when Johnson and Johnson invited me to their summer beauty event I couldn't say no. For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past century Johnson and Johnson are pretty much the kings of the pharmaceutical and skincare industry who have brought us brands like Neutrogena, Piz Buin and Compeed.

Nu Skin is an American brand which was founded in 1984 on the premise of anti-ageing. However now, they have branched out in make-up, bath and body lotions, aromatic products and even dietary supplements.
Read MoreIf you know me then you know that I am crazy about skincare. Wherever I go I can guarantee that I'll have some sort of serum or moisturiser in my bag and whenever I go away on holiday my loved ones echo "all of that is for your skin?!". Why yes, yes it is. I am a self-proclaimed skincare junkie which comes with it perks and of course downfalls. That's why when I was offered to visit the Ioma Paris counter in Harrods for a skin diagnosis I couldn't resist.
Read MoreWelcome back! I've been trying out a wealth of face masks ever since I was thirteen years old whilst attending and hosting some stereotypical sleepovers. I've tried them all from the £1 chocolate face mask right up to a full on gel face mask putting your pocket out by £18.
