Style Snaps: Insta Workwear Lookbook
Finally back at it with another fashion post!
I actually really enjoyed creating my last insta lookbook post. It was really refreshing because I have a secret (or not so secret) obsession with flat lays and I could take all of the photos myself without bugging Elliott or another loved way to shoot me in my outfits. Also, all of these looks in this insta lookbook are outfits I actually wear to work, so it's quicker (and more fun!) for me to shoot them as flatlays rather than OOTDs.
Just to give you a little background on my workwear, I can pretty much wear whatever I want around the office as long as it's appropriate. Basically I just use my common sense when dressing myself for work - no flip flops, band tees or offensive slogan shirts. Check.
That "Breakfast at Tiffany's" dress
Forever 21 dress | New Look tights | Specsavers glasses
This dress gives me life and I know it's not any exact dress that Audrey Hepburn wears in Breakfast at Tiffany's. It just gives me those sorts of vibes. The black and white checked pattern is so timeless and the shape is just as simple shift dress - a classic combination that I think will still be fashionable in years to come. To break up the monochrome colours I added in some plum coloured tights. These give the outfit a bit more interest and look very chic with my favourite pair of Zara flats. I have to admit, this is an outfit I keep for "smarter" days but I always feel wonderfully sophisticated when I wear it.
The warmest knit ever!
Shein cardigan | H&M striped tee | Specsavers glasses
I am a sucker for a chunky knit and this dark green one is no exception. Elliott got it for me for Christmas and it's quickly become a style staple for me. It's so versatile and can create so many different looks. For this outfit I decided to pair it with a classic wide striped tee from H&M. Aagin, this is another easy, simple combination of colours and patterns. However, the best part about this outfit is that it is just so cozy and comfortable - perfect if your office is a bit chilly.
Those Disney bound vibes
Disney jumper | Missguided skirt
This has to be one of my favourite outfits in this lookbook. It's so simple, yet still pretty stylish. I love oversized graphic jumpers and this one from Disney really ticks all the boxes. It has a fleecy lining to keep you extra snuggly and slits on either side to create a very flattering fit. It's not cropped either (I'm kind of over the cropped jumper trend) and the cute AF Minnie Mouse motif gives me the Disney vibes I've been missing. To dress this look up for the office and make it a bit more sophisticated I paired it with this geometric mini skirt.
Whatever, I'm ready outfit
H&M denim jacket | Shein dress
This is usually the sort of outfit I reserve for "casual Fridays". This denim jacket was originally Elliotts, however like many girls across the world I have become quite the master at stealing my boyfriend's clothes and making them my own. It's a little oversized on me it but creates a silhouette that I love, especially when paired with a simple black t-shit dress. You may remember this dress from many OOTDs ago. As you can see it's still one of my dress loves and I think I'm going to be rocking it until it falls to pieces.
The bonus bucket bag
Coach bucket bag
I literally take this bucket bag everywhere with me. I know this isn't an outfit but I paired this bag with every single look in this lookbook. It's a great office bag as it's the perfect size to fit all of the essentials in. It also has a little purse inside too that's attached to the bag so if you're worried about any valuables you can put them in there. But the best part about this bag is that it is reversible. You can either have it black (my personal favourite) or white, which I think will look gorgeous in the summer.
