Seventeen Blogger Network Event*
I love Seventeen so much!
That's why when I got invited to their blogger network event I actually couldn't believe my luck. For those of you who don't know Seventeen is a make-up brand exclusively for Boots. It is basically their make-up brand No.7's younger, cuter and more colourful sister.
At the event, I had the pleasure of seeing all the new products, trying them out, listening to SEO talks by a professional Googler and meeting the amazing blogger and youtuber Katie Snooks. I even got to watch a live make-up tutorial by a profession make-up artist using all of the new Seventeen products! This was one of the most exciting events I have ever been to that's why I couldn't resist sharing a few snaps with you.
Upon arrival there was an amazing board set up full of all the hot upcoming looks for this autumn/winter. I must admit I am a fan of the "bold lips" and a frequent wearer of the "glamorous goth" look. I can't wait to try out the "grey and white eyes" either. Which make-up trend are you most excited to rock in the cooler months?
My absolute favourite products at the event were the mega matte lipsticks. They're new to the market this upcoming season and they come in the most gorgeous colours. Seventeen were kind enough to gift me with five of them. "Looking buff" which is a dark nude, perfect for everyday wear. "Roses are red" a classic deep red that goes with every single night-out look you can think of. "Violet summer" a cyber-goth purple, which (if you know me) you know I am a huge fan of. "Back to the fuchsia" a bold pink which I cannot wait to play around with. "I lilac it alot" which reminds me of an old favourite Barry M lipstick I used to wear to death as a teen that is now discontinued. Stay tuned for swatches post!
In addition to their mega matte lipsticks Seventeen have also released lip crayons which remind me of the Clinique chubby stick intense moisturising lip colours. They're just as creamy and the colours are so gorgeous and well pigmented. Plus they're about half the price of the Clinique ones so your purse will definitely thank you.
Another product that caught my eye at the event was their brows that eye brow palette. If you've been following my make-up tutorials for a while then you probably know about my undying love for Benefit's brow zings palette. However, I have been keeping my eye out for a more budget friendly alternative. So, watch this space for a review coming soon.
Seventeen also have a huge amount of bronzing products. As a pale girl, I normally steer away from bronzer but a wonderful make-up artist invited me to try it on at the event. Reluctantly, I accepted secretly squirming because I didn't want to turn out orange. To my surprise I actually didn't look like an oompa-loompa but just a rather sun-kissed me. The specific bronzer she used on me was the instant glow bronzing rocks. Did I mention the packaging is super sleek and chic too? It all looks so beautiful in any make-up kit.
