First Impressions: Bleach London Purple Shampoo and Conditioner Review*

Since 2020 haircare has become a big focus for me. Especially now as my hair is finally back to looking healthy after years of damaging it through dyes, straighteners and curlers. For a bit of context, I have been dying my hair in some form or another since the very young age of 10! Yes, you heard that right, I was just 10 years old when I got my first set of highlights. On top of this I also began straightening my naturally curly hair around the same time. For some reason at 10 years old I already hated my hair - but that’s another story.

First Impressions: Aveeno Calm and Restore Skincare Range

Skincare has always been an important part of my daily rituals and routines. Over the years I have found what my skin likes and what it doesn’t like. I’ve learnt that my skin can be senstive and dry whilst still having the occassional breakout and oily t-zone. I occasionally suffer from some rednesss from time to time too, particularly around my nose and cheeks. However, as soon as I think I’ve mastered a routine that has my skin looking it’s best, my skin adapts and doesn’t like it anymore. So, especially now that I’m closer to 30 than 21 I’ve taken it upon myself to try out new routines every so often so my skin doesn’t have time to get too used to products.

First Impressions: Lush Brazened Honey Face Mask Review

I haven’t tried out a new face mask in ages, however I have been dying to since fleshing out my self-care routine in quarantine. So quite a while ago (before lockdown began) I went to a Lush store and asked for some recommendations. I used to love their love lettuce mask, but unfortunately it was discontinued way back in 2017. With this in mind I asked the very helpful sales assistant and she pointed me in the direction of the brazened honey mask.

Warm Winter Makeup Tutorial Featuring Urban Decay's Naked Heat Palette

In the winter I tend to wear more makeup. I think it’s because in the cooler months my makeup stays on better and my skin is actually in a better mood than it is in the summer. Therefore, I have definitely been favouring a fuller face of makeup lately. For my complexion, I have always adored browns and oranges - I think they balance my skin tone out well whilst still making my eyes pop. So, with my new Naked Heat palette in hand I decided to make a warm and shimmery look to rock all throughout the winter months. If you want to know how I completed my look exactly, keep on reading.

Why I Probably Won't Attend Beautycon London Again

I am usually a big fan of beauty events... In fact, I'd even go as far to say that I love attending them. I like getting to know new beauty brands, learn the tricks of the trade and of course meet other make-up, skincare and hair care enthusiasts. However as you can probably tell from the title I am unfortunately not writing to tell you about one of my favourite events of the year.
