Four Lockdown Date Looks for Valentine's Day with Femme Luxe*

It’s finally February and although it may seem like there isn’t much to look forward to - this month blesses us with both Valentines Day and Pancake Day! I especially love both of these occasions because they both usually mean lots of scrummy food. I get to eat heart filled chocolates one day and then pancakes slavered in syrup the next. Perfect!

But what’s even more fun about Valentines Day is picking my outfit for what I am going to be doing with my husband! But I do appreciate that not many people will get to see their significant other this year, or simply do not have a significant other . That’s why I wanted to do a round up of a few lockdown friendly looks you can rock whether you’re living with a partner, planning a date night with yourself, or heading out for a socially distanced Galentines catch up!

This tracksuit also has a really nice oversized fit to it which makes it extra comfy. You can use the drawstring on the waist of the tracksuit bottoms to really highlight your waist, whilst the padded pockets give your hips a little more bank giving you a really curvy silhouette. Who knew tracksuits could have shape? I really love the elasticated ankle bands too and I am so glad that these kind of tracksuits are making a comeback.

In the not so distanced future I can imagine myself boarding a long-haul flight in this with my white carry on Valentino in tow, finished off with some crisp white trainers. Comfy sportswear chic at it’s finest.

Femme Luxe Cream Oversized Joggers Loungewear Set // Specsavers Glasses // Rubi Scrunchie // Primark Slippers

Whether you live together or you’re planning on watching your favourite flicks over Zoom you can never go wrong with a warm and comfy tracksuit. In my younger years I was never a tracksuit kind of girl, but since lockdown has hit it is my favourite loungewear look. I chose to go with a cream colour, although vulnerable to coffee stains and wine spills - I think it makes a set look more chic and clean cut. Also, I can literally pair this with any of my favourite slippers of fluffy socks and still look super cute. The lining of this tracksuit is so soft and fleecy, making it perfect to snuggle up on the sofa in.

Quick facetime coffee date

Femme Luxe Patterned Long Sleeve Crop Jumper // H&M Pleather Skirt // H&M Platform Boots

Although we’re locked down - you can’t stop us from getting our coffee. Whether you’re grabbing a takeaway coffee from your local, heading to the drive-thru Starbucks or being a barista at home you can still look super cute and match your brew of choice with this look. I love a good cropped jumper or cardigan and it’s safe to say I have a fair few of them, however none have a pattern quite like this one. I remember way back when black and brown were a massive no-no (maybe they still are?), but now I feel like they are a match made in heaven. I just love how warm you can make a black piece look by just adding in a few brown tones - also for some reason it gives me hot academia vibes which I am here for. Because this jumper is cropped, I decided to pair it with a high waisted a-line skirt that’s really going to showcase your waist. To make sure you don’t freeze on your coffee run, I’d definitely enlist the help of a black cami and wooly tights - maybe a black beret too if you’re feeling extra chilly. Finishing off the look are my favourite and most trusted pair of heeled booties - the wooden heel really helps pull the black and brown colour palette together.

Socially distanced walk

Femme Luxe Cream Scoop Neck Long Sleeve Bodysuit // Gifted Floral Scarf // Rubi Scrunchie // Coach Bag // F&F Light Blue Jeans // Wish Fur Booties

Who doesn’t go to the classic jeans and a nice top combo when they don’t know what to wear? But because it’s been so chilly lately, I know I’d much rather switch out my nice top for an even nicer bodysuit, especially if I am going on a socially distanced walk. This one has nice long sleeves and the fit is very flattering. I love the scoop neck and the fact that it’s ribbed which makes the bodysuit feel a bit thicker and more cosy. I thought it would look casual but cute with a pair of classic blue high waisted skinny jeans which look great on absolutely everyone. To warm the look up even more I threw my favourite yellow floral scarf around the neck and decided to add some furry Ugg look-a-likes. To finish the outfit I went with my brown Coach bag and a

Femme Luxe Red Ruched Midi Dress // TKMaxx Black Clutch Bag

Jessica Rabbit who? This dress is honestly one of the slinkiest dresses I own and I am here for it. The red wine colour is absolutely gorgeous and is perfect for Valentines day, even if you are staying in! The ruching on either side and down the back really helps accentuate a smaller waist and wider hips. I really love the cowl neck too - I don’t have any other dresses or tops with this kind of neck line and I honestly don’t know why because it is super flattering. The material is really stretchy and forgiving so I’m not going to feel bad after eating a three-course homemade meal with my husband, the ruching also helps hide those food babies after over indulging a little bit. Since I plan to just wear this at home, I didn’t style it with any shoes, but any kind of minimalist black heel would do. If I was allowed to go out, I’d probably throw a leather jacket over the top to give off even more femme fatale vibes.

So whatever you’re doing this Valentines, I hope I’ve given you some outfit inspiration and made you feel that even though we’re locked down, we can still look cute. What kind of look will you be going with - trackies, cropped jumper, bodysuit or slinky dress? Let me know.
