Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette Review
Look at that highlight though...
Just like every other make-up addict out there I am obsessed with highlighter. If I had to choose between wearing foundation, concealer, contour powder or highlighter, I'd choose highlighter every single time. I think it really pulls together any make-up look. To be truthful, I can't imagine my make-up routine without it!
Now that you all know about my unhealthy obsession with highlighter, I'd like to tell you about my new favourite highlighter; the Sleek Solstice palette that was brought for me by Elliott, who as you all know is very much aware of my makeup addiction. So a big thank you to my lovely fiance who is keeping me sparkly.
The first thing I want to say about this highlighter palette is that the packaging is simply gorgeous. The rose gold case looks so chic on your dressing table or in your make-up bag. It's also the perfect size to keep in your clutch on a night out, so that a glittery top-up is never far away.
The palette has four highlighter shades in in, three are powdered and one is cream based. The one cream highlighter is called Ecliptic and is probably the darkest one out of the four. Sleek suggest that you use this shade to highlight your brow bone, however I have been using it as a transition from my contour into my highlight. The shade below Ecliptic is called Subsolar, which I use to highlight my cheekbones. This shade is definitely the brightest of them all, that's why I love to sprinkle it all over my face and make it the main attraction.
Then on the other side of the palette are the other two powdered highlighters; Hemisphere and Equinox. Hemisphere is the purple shade that reminds you of unicorns, candyfloss and pastel goths (all things I love!). I think this highlight looks amazing on a bare face with no contour or blush. It really brings out my inner alien, an aesthetic I actually quite love. Equinox is probably the shade I will use least, however I still love it's bronzy goodness. I think this shade will be a great alternative to bronzers, especially if you want to add a little sparkly to your bronzed goddess look. And let's face it, who doesn't want that?
What's your favourite shade in the Sleek Solstice palette? Let me know in the comments below. Also if you have any other highlighter recommendations please link them below because a girl can never have too many highlighting products.
