October Recap

October is my favourite month of this year and I am kind of sad it flew by so fast. I did alot this month. I used the beginning of the month to take some time off work and go on a little staycation to Cornwall with my husband. The rest of the month was dedicated to getting prepped for a fun D&D party, playing some Animal Crossing and just taking life slowly. It was a pretty blissful month.

Updated Favourite Cruelty-Free And Vegan Skincare Products

I have always been a big follower of skincare trends and have tried my hardest to keep a consistent skincare routine throughout my late teens and early adult life. It’s never been perfect and my skin always finds a way to start hating the products it once loved. Although this hasn’t been so great for my bank account, it does mean that I have over ten years of experience in trying different skincare brands so you don't have to.

Travel Diaries: Hiking To A Secluded Beach In North Cornwall

It’s been quite a while since I’ve published a travel diaries post. But with a combination of the pandemic, work and other responsibilities I haven’t been able to travel as much as I’ve liked for the last two years or so. Also, the few trips I have taken, I chose not to share them online just because I like to keep a few things for myself and document them in a more personal way. So, in the light of this I’d thought I’d share a few snippets with you all of my recent trip to Cornwall with my husband.

Negative Space and Self Esteem: Part Two

Mental health and my relationship with my own body and mind, like many people, has sometimes been a struggle. August Recap

It’s been a while. And that’s okay. If you’ve been with me since I started these recap blog posts then you probably know I’ve been making a more conscious effort to lead a slower-paced life. To me slower-paced life doesn’t mean being boring, lazy or unmotivated. It means making time for things I enjoy doing - even if that’s just taking an afternoon to read on my sofa or spending a few moments gazing out the window on a rainy day.

March Recap

Spring is finally here and I have to say that I feel rejuvenated. It seems that my body and mind work with the seasons. In Autumn I wind down, in Winter I almost hibernate and now that Spring has rolled around I feel full of life again. As I get older I am starting to understand how important it is to listen to my body. If I feel like I need to sleep - I sleep, if I feel like I want to eat - I eat. However the further I delve into Spring, the more motivated I am to get things done.

Four Lockdown Date Looks for Valentine's Day with Femme Luxe*

It’s finally February and although it may seem like there isn’t much to look forward to - this month blesses us with both Valentines Day and Pancake day! I especially love both of these occasions because they both usually mean lots of scrummy food. I get to eat heart filled chocolates one day and then pancakes slavered in syrup the next. Perfect!
