First Impressions: Joan Collins First Base Foundation*

It's no secret that I'm not a foundation type of girl... Well I haven't been for around five years. My main reason is because I can never find one that is the correct shade for my skin or leaves my skin looking flawless. I've tried cheap ones, expensive ones, mousse ones and liquid ones - nothing just ever gives me the finish I like. Frequent reminders of my fifteen year old gothic phase haunt my foundation memories and the walls of my parent's house. So I came to the conclusion that I should just never wear it.

What girl doesn't love a good compact set? I don't know about you but I find compact sets so helpful. Not only because they fit neatly into my on-the-go makeup bag but I also have two staple products that are only taking up the size of one. I haven't used that many compact duos in the past however after trying out the Joan Collins lipsticks I couldn't say no to another one paired with a powder (which I haven't even tried out yet).

Lipsticks can either really define your look and make it what it is or just add a subtle finishing touch that is the cherry on top of your makeup.

Where would a lady be without a trusty mascara? Well for starters her eyes would appear smaller, her lashes would be non-existent and her make-up collection would have a very big mascara shaped hole in it. So all-in-all, she'd be in a pretty sad place. It's no secret that I am a sucker for a good mascara. That's why I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try out the Joan Collin's Class Act mascara.
