November Recap

November has gone passed in such a weird blended blur. In fact, I really feel like this entire year has, possibly because of how uncertain this year has been and how I’ve spent majority of it inside my home not seeing anyone but Elliott. But, if you’re read my previous recap posts you’ll know that I’ve actually become very used to spending time at home and I actually quite enjoy it.

Post Pandemic Travel Dreams

Although many people all over the world are travelling again - I am not. I really enjoy travelling and there isn’t much that I desire more than to pack my bags, hop on a plane and sit on a beach somewhere sipping on a cocktail. However, for me, it’s just not meant to be at the moment due to the global pandemic. It’s not that I don’t want to go - I do. I just want to feel 100% comfortable when I do eventually go and enjoy myself to the fullest.

September Recap

September marks the start of my favourite part of the year. I love the cooler months - watching the colours of nature change around me, embracing the warmth of a fireplace whilst being wrapped in a snuggly jumper, and of course ending the year with festivities alongside family and friends. Most people tend to wind down at this time of year yet I start to feel inspired again. Everything makes my mind tick and I get sudden bolts of ideas and creativity.

July Recap

And just like that we’re over half way through 2020. You can get alot done in seven months but this year I haven’t. I don’t feel sad about it. I think I’m just enjoying riding the waves and letting life take me to where I need to be. This year has gone passed in a blur of winter storms, being hauled up in our bungalow and working from the spare room. But that’s okay. I’ve actually enjoyed this slower pace of life and really started to appreciate what really matters.

First Impressions: Lush Brazened Honey Face Mask Review

I haven’t tried out a new face mask in ages, however I have been dying to since fleshing out my self-care routine in quarantine. So quite a while ago (before lockdown began) I went to a Lush store and asked for some recommendations. I used to love their love lettuce mask, but unfortunately it was discontinued way back in 2017. With this in mind I asked the very helpful sales assistant and she pointed me in the direction of the brazened honey mask.

My Cruelty-Free Skincare Routine

If you saw my last post about how I am going to lead a more consciously cruelty-free life, then you’ll probably know why I am writing this. Skincare is a big part of my daily routine therefore if I want to be cruelty-free then this is something I knew I’d have to change. Whilst I already use some cruelty-free skincare brands like Liz Earle, I wanted to seek out a more “high street” branded alternative to try.

Making My Life Consciously Cruelty-Free

Ever since I could remember I have adored animals, not just the typical soft cuddly kind either. I love all animals from the traditional pets like cats and dogs to the more unconventional bearded dragons and snakes. I’ve never met an animal that I couldn’t love. So, my affinity for animals has always been there, however I have to admit that like many of us, I am guilty of picking up items in the shop (particularly beauty products) that aren’t 100% cruelty-free. So, this year I have decided to make a more conscious effort to make my life as cruelty-free as possible.
